Your personal information is kept confidential and is not shared with anyone; you will only receive a message to acknowledge your participation. Occasionally, with his or her permission, I may contact a respondent to ask for further clarification on any of the answers. If you wish, you can check the consent form approved by the Conjoint Faculties Research Ethics Board, University of Calgary.
In the questionnaires, the term "park" is used to refer to any category of protected area. You may leave a question unanswered if it does not apply to your park. A few questions are marked as required and you will see a window asking you to answer that question in case you skipped it.
The ultimate goal of this research is to provide recommendations for improving the effectiveness of protected areas management. If you know people that have expertise in any of these topics, please let them know about this research. I would appreciate their participation and willingness to share their experiences.
